Palworld player overcomes “impossible odds” with insane Mammorest catch
PocketpairDespite incredibly low chances, a Palworld player managed to catch a Mammorest in the wild and said it felt like “hitting the lottery.”
Palworld entered early access on PC and Xbox just a few days ago, yet it’s already taken the world by storm. Referred to as “Pokemon with guns,” the action-adventure survival title challenges players to capture and work alongside mysterious creatures called Pals.
And like the source of its inspiration, catching monsters in Palworld isn’t always guaranteed. There’s an inherent challenge to it, of course, but the odds can sometimes be stacked against even the most skilled of players.
As such, one user just had to share footage of their recent Mammorest catch given the low chances they were working with.
Palworld player catches Mammorest despite “impossible odds”
A Palworld player had a .15 percent chance of catching a creature with their Pal Sphere. The small chance didn’t stop them from shooting their shot, though.
In a 30-second clip on Reddit, the player in question can be seen capturing a Level 33 Mammorest after two attempts.
The Pal escaped on the first try, but a second throw of the Pal Sphere netted the player the results they desired. And as can be heard in the video below, they couldn’t have been more shocked by the outcome.
If the player feels like they won the lottery, their fellow fans are even more surprised. One user wrote, “You really walked up, saw literally impossible odds (it literally said 0% chance of success) and decided to hurl a ball anyway… I wouldn’t have wasted a ball if I saw 0% while hovering LOL.”
Someone else chimed in to say, “You should’ve bought a lottery ticket instead of this game. Lol.”
The original poster later confirmed that they’re only a Level 8 in Palworld and didn’t have access to catch-related buffs. “This was just me taking a shot because me and my buddy wanted to try to kill it,” they explained.
Perhaps risks like this will encourage more players to try their hand at overcoming the odds.
