Hunters need to source a lot of Wyvern Gem Shards to upgrade gear to the highest levels, which makes it incredibly sought after. While the recent Banbaro and Radobaan event is proving popular amongst players trying to source this glowing material, it’s still hard to farm.
Well, one incredibly lucky player has wowed the game’s community with their back-to-back Wyvern Gem Shard pulls.

Monster Hunter Now Wyvern Gem Shards are hard to come by at the best of times, so when hollowmoon21 posted a screenshot of them receiving not one, but four Wyvern Gem Shards on the Monster Hunter Now Reddit, they quickly garnered a lot of attention.
“Man I’ve been up to 8-star since late October,” commented one player. “Got 6 gems so far after hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of 8-stars…Give us some of that luck!”
Others were keen to stress how they’d instantly double the rewards to ensure they cut down their farming. “Holy crap that would be the fastest carving knife double in the world! I would’ve pooped!”
Meanwhile, another Hunter reflected on how they wished they also capitalized on their own double drop: “Maaan I double dropped once and cheaped out on using the knife…highly regret it now cos I’ve been trying to get 1 more for a month to upgrade a weapon. Lesson learned. Congrats.”
After all, it’s not every day that you get so many Wyvern Gem Shards in a single drop, let alone four of them.
