Patch 6.57 for Final Fantasy XIV has brought a major quality of life upgrade to the MSQ, allowing new players to pray return to the Waking Sands more often.

Final Fantasy XIV is an amazing game. The MMO has easily one of the best stories ever told, transpiring across multiple different expansions that touches on several themes and emotions. Of course, due to the story being told across so many expansions, to complete the entirety of it is a trek within itself.

Alongside this, players have to get through the rather lackluster story of A Realm Reborn (ARR), where the game was really finding its feet in terms of plot. Much of ARR involves menial tasks going from place to place and doesn’t quite hit the way the expansions afterward do.

Fortunately, the new patch in FFXIV brought a quality of life change that allows players to pray return to the Waking Sands more often than before.

Veteran FFXIV players are more than familiar with the phrase “Pray return to the waking sands”. Throughout their time in A Realm Reborn, players would constantly need to return to the zone, which unfortunately had nearby teleports. This was such a painful experience, that it became an infamous meme among the community.

The devs alleviated this problem by introducing teleport tickets that would allow players to TP into the zone, reducing the hassle of needing to constantly return. Now in Patch 6.57, the devs have increased the amount of tickets players get from completing the quests, causing older players to reminisce with memes.

Fortunately, with these buffs, new players will not need to feel the pain many felt before them.
