PewDiePie appears to give up fight against T-Series as sub gap closes

YouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg may have conceded defeat in his battle against Bollywood label T-Series, as stated in his latest ‘Book Review’ video.

PewDiePie uploaded the video on February 20, just as the sub gap between his channel and that of T-Series grew to less than 9,000 subscribers.

However, PewDiePie wasn’t filled with his usual, warlike zeal; this time, the YouTuber appeared to be somewhat resigned, claiming that he could upload whatever he wanted in light of his looming demise.

“T-Series has most likely passed me, so it doesn’t matter what I upload at this point, does it?” PewDiePie said of the situation. “I mean, I might as well get this over with.”

Despite his dismal outlook on his chances of beating T-Series, PewDiePie’s sub gap has jumped to over 12,000 subscribers since the video’s release.

T-Series was projected to surpass PewDiePie in early January of 2019, as told by calculations from analysts at Social Blade in August of 2018.

Despite these projections, PewDiePie has managed to fend off his Bollywood nemesis for over a month, thanks to the help of other major YouTubers – and even some celebrities.

Tesla CEO and tech millionaire Elon Musk has allegedly hosted an episode of PewDiePie’s ‘Meme Review’ show with Rick and Morty producer Justin Roiland.

Despite his claims, fans are currently left in the dark as to when the alleged episode will go live – or, if it will go live before T-Series ultimately overtakes PewDiePie.

UPDATE: PewDiePie has increased the sub gap between T-Series by 30,000 subs, as of February 20, 2:30 PM PST.
