A man has gone viral on social media after claiming that he used ChatGPT to match with over 5,000 women on Tinder, and eventually found his now-fiance.

With the rise of ChatGPT since the beginning of 2023, people have found a wide variety of uses for the service.

With over one billion users, people have used the service to avoid parking tickets, build an alarm clock, and more.

A man on Twitter recently went viral after revealing that he used ChatGPT to run a Tinder bot that matched him with over 5,000 women on the app — and helped him eventually meet his now fiance.

Man says he used ChatGPT to meet fiance on Tinder

On January 30, 2024, Aleksandr Zhadan shared that he proposed to a girl that ChatGPT had been talking with on his behalf for a year.

To find the one girl, he says the bot he created had matched and communicated with 5,239 girls whom he had met up with. He shares in the thread that ChatGPT had caused him to sometimes have six dates a day, and eventually had to change things up.

He went on to explain that he had several variations of the ChatGPT bot and took a break from it after he found his now fiance, Karina.

As the story went viral, however, many took to various retweet threads and other posts sharing the story to mention that they don’t think the story is real.

“As a Russian speaking guy I can definitely say it’s fake. This guy faked his diploma and many more. So assume overall it is possible but this story is ai generated,” one user replied.

Another said: “The community did a small research on this guy, and there’s a big chance that he is just hyping as he is not a dev himself.”

Many others chose to believe the story, however, and hyped it up in the process.
