Five characters we want to see added to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

There are already over 70 playable characters to try out on Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, but we can't help but feel that these five characters would make the game even more exciting to play!

Nintendo is very much associated with nostalgia and developing its authentic video game characters. We've seen that with the games the developer have released so far on the Nintendo Switch, such as The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Super Mario Odyssey and others.

Yet, while Smash already has a lot of favorites from down the years included in the game right now, with the likes of Mario, Luigi, Donkey Kong and others, it doesn't have to stop there.

So, let's see what we would like to be added in the future...

We can't believe that Waluigi is not in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate!

Waluigi has been a prominent figure in the Mario series across the years, with appearances in several famous games in the past such as Mario Kart, Mario Tennis, as well as a few spin-offs and we think that it's very odd that he was not included in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

This mischievous character is well-known to throw a tantrum when he is on the losing side of things and that would work well in a fighting game like this. One punch could just set him off and his Final Smash could be something related to that - maybe they could do something whether he becomes stronger the more damage that he takes, which would be a quite interesting dynamic.

Nevertheless, get him in the game!

Crash Bandicoot

Crash Bandicoot would be perfect for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate!

Crash Bandicoot fans have undoubtedly had a great year. The N. Sane Trilogy was released by Activision initially on PlayStation platform in June, but has since moved over to both Xbox and Nintendo Switch. So, why not bring him to Smash Bros?

After all, the character is built for this type of game. Whether it's his spinning attacks, his leap or perhaps even throwing wumpa fruit during battle - this crafty character is a must for the future.

Banjo-Kazooie would be a great addition to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate!

Banjo-Kazooie has featured on Rare titles in recent years but the story and its characters date back to 1998 when it was first released on the Nintendo 64 console. Despite the age of the game, they're still a very popular duo who would be widely appreciated if they were to be added to Smash.

Let's face it, as a pair, they have everything to make a battle interesting and entertaining. You could have moves where Kazooie leaps off its partner's back for a Final Smash, Banjo could use Kazooie as a weapon or they could even summon Gruntilda to come and help fend off their enemies in a shocking coming together of both good and evil. There are so many ways Nintendo could do this!

Koopa Troopa

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is missing a bit of Koopa Troopa.

Koopa Troopa is another character who regularly appears in the Mario series, yet somehow never made the cut for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

While the other characters put forward in this list might have a bit more of a backstory, let's not forget how annoying Koopa Troopa can be in the Mario games.

Without trying to paint them out to be some sort of demonic character (which they're clearly not), they have been the cause of many game overs since they first appeared in the original Super Mario Bros of 1985.

In terms of fighting style, this is where you would have to be creative. There have been many iterations of this character, whether it's the one you see above where it can hide and spin in its shell, or with wings like a Paratroopa, showing they have many skills which could be brought to the game. It's an iconic character and should definitely feature at some stage!

Fortnite character Jonesy could be a fine addition to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Finally, let's throw a crossover into the mix that hasn't been done before.

The idea of bringing together Fortnite characters or skins, such as Jonesy above, might be a move that could bring more players to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate who hadn't heard of the game before. The popularity of Fortnite is huge and can't be underestimated, hence Nintendo's decision to bring it to their Switch console in June.

It would be very cool to allow Jonesy and others to battle against other popular characters from different Nintendo series. They could even use weapons and items from Fortnite Battle Royale on Smash in order to harm their enemies. Dare we say it, the Infinity Sword could be their Final Smash!

A fan recently created a crossover video which showed Fortnite characters getting ready for battle in Smash and they're not the only one waiting for this to happen!
