A Rocket League YouTuber put together a video of him showing his parents that he will be able to pay for all of their bills through his gaming career.

Content creation is a risky career move for young gamers as it can bring in massive amounts of money, but only if they can break through to the top of certain platforms. In addition to that arduous task, they must also be consistent with their content in terms of views and trends to satisfy hungry viewers and changing platform algorithms.

Those who do manage to climb the content creation mountain, and earn hundreds of thousands to millions of dollars, usually spend their cash on luxuries or invest back into their career. Some, however, use their newfound financial freedom to take care of their loved ones.

One Rocket League YouTuber has done just that in a heartwarming video showcasing him “retiring” his parents.

Rocket League creator “retires” parents

Wyatt ‘musty’ is a Rocket League YouTuber signed with NRG Esports. He was once a pro player but switched to full-time content creation shortly after starting his career. He has almost 3 million subscribers on YouTube and is known in the community as the founder of the “musty flick” mechanic.

On his second channel, the creator posted a video of him informing his parents that he will be able to pay for their bills in perpetuity and that they no longer need to work. Musty told his viewers that the decision to help his parents retire came after watching his father become very sick and seeing his parents struggle financially.

The creator bought two credit cards under his parents’ names and purchased his mother an “all-expenses-paid trip” to wherever she wanted to go for Mother’s Day. In the video, he explains to his mother that the cards are under his account and that it’s for medical expenses and anything else they need.

“I want to like, retire you. I don’t want you to have to work. If you’re worried about expenses or anything just put it on the card and don’t think about it,” musty said.

His mother said she doesn’t mind her job and that it is an escape for her in a sense from taking care of her husband for a time. However, she did concede that with this offer, she could put in the minimum amount of effort at her job when she wants, and not feel the need to crunch to make money.

“Thank you, Wyatt. It really is a big stress reliever,” she said.

The creator ended the video by thanking his viewers and saying that he wouldn’t have been able to do this for his family without them.
