Pokemon Legends Z-A will involve the series returning to the Kalos region for the first time in over a decade, which means a previously cut Pokemon can finally make its in-game debut.

Over the past few years, the Pokemon series has been the victim of several leaks, with unused designs that were never meant to be publicly published online. A handful have also been revealed in official materials, such as Gyarados’ horrifying original design.

In most cases, these Pokemon never make it into the final release. Pokemon X & Y had a rare exception, as people who dug through the files discovered Eternal Flower Floette, an event version of Floette that appears in the game’s story but cannot actually be caught.

While The Pokemon Company never distributed Eternal Flower Floette, it will have a chance to appear in a future game, as Pokemon Legends Z-A is set in the Kalos region, which is the perfect place to introduce it into the mainline titles.

Pokemon Legends Z-A fans want Eternal Flower Floette to appear

A user on the Pokemon Reddit created a thread speculating that Eternal Flower Floette could appear in Pokemon Legends Z-A. Other users agreed, believing this will be the perfect opportunity to debut this missing Pokemon.

“Receiving that Floette after more than a decade would be one of the most satisfying and cathartic things in this franchise,” one user wrote, while another said, “They could have called this Pokemon Legends: That One God Damn Floette and I’d buy it just on the name.”

The return of Eternal Flower Floette could easily be explained, as one player summarized. “If this game takes places before Pokemon X & Y but after AZ revived Floette this would help explain where Floette was before Pokemon X & Y – it was with another trainer.”

As one player pointed out, it’s not just the mystery of Eternal Flower Floette that needs solving. “No, but seriously if we don’t get AZ’s Floette or really any of those mystery shenanigans like Heatran’s cry randomly being in the city or the Ghost Girls or those notes at the train station.”

“Legends Z-A would honestly be a waste, like there is so much in X and Y that was either cut or missed opportunities and it lowkey angers me.”

Pokemon X & Y had many loose ends, and its planned sequels were scrapped in favor of Pokemon Sun & Moon. This left a lot of questions unanswered, all of which could be addressed in Pokemon Legends Z-A, including the official debut of Eternal Flower Floette as a member of your team.
