Helldivers 2 player discovers insane trick to never lose super samples

A Helldivers 2 player has discovered an awesome trick to never lose samples on death, and ensure that you get the currency for those expensive ship upgrades.

Helldivers 2 challenges only the bravest players to liberate the galaxy from pesky forces like the Automatons and the Terminids. For soldiers to fulfill their duty, they need to equip themselves with only the best gear and ship modules (which enhance their stratagems).

However, players will have to work hard to earn the ship upgrades, using the currency of samples (which have different rarities) to fund the enhancements.

These samples can be found all across different areas of planets, and it’s up to the players to brave the unknown and search for them. This can become an increasingly more dangerous prospect as players search for rarer samples, as these require a higher difficulty.

Many players have experienced disappointment in having collected the currency, only to succumb to enemy forces and not be able to extract it.

Helldiver discovers handy trick to get all samples safely

One player was fed up with getting harassed by teammates to help deal with powerful enemies when they were carrying all of the super samples.

“OF COURSE I’M NOT COMING TO HELP THE TEAM! I’M CARRYING THE SUPER SAMPLES AND YOU INSIST ON FIGHTING THE 6 HULKS AND 2 TANKS INSTEAD OF RUNNING AWAY!!!!” they fumed.

However, another play came to their rescue with a tip that can save players from all the stress:

“For those who might not be aware: When you get the super samples, send the fastest person to take them to extraction and drop them off, they’ll be there when you come back later!” they said.

“Special note: don’t drop the samples where the extraction beacon lands. It can and will destroy them,” added another player.

Hopefully, with this tip, players can get back to unloading hot lead into the Terminids and Automatons stress-free, even if game-master Joel might have increased the spawn rates in the 01.000.100 update.
