Yet another secret battle star is hidden on the Fortnite Battle Royale map for week 3 of season 4, which will give you a massive boost in ranking up.

With each a new season comes a whole new fresh rank system to grind your way through again, all the way to tier 100.

The fastest way is to make sure you complete all the challenges which release each week, which will reward you with bonus XP, flying you up the levels.

Crucially, you will want to focus on one set of challenges in particular, as fans realized back in week 1, that completing them will reveal a hidden battle star on the map.

The new blockbuster challenges, which are unique to season 4, task you with complete a certain number of challenges in a week, and for week 3, you need to complete all seven.

  • Watch a match replay – 0/1
  • Deal damage with pistols to opponents – 0/500
  • Search chests in Lonely Lodge – 0/7
  • Search Rubber Duckies – 0/10
  • Follow the Treasure Map found in Salty Springs – 0/1 (HARD)
  • Sniper Rifle Eliminations – 0/2 (HARD)
  • Eliminate opponents in Tilted Towers – 0/3 (HARD)

Once you have completed all the challenges for week 3, you will unlock this new loading screen, which displays where the star is.

Some fans will know that this new loading screen was unavailable until todays patch, but has now been released.

*UPDATE: Data miners TwoEpicBuddies have actually discovered two loading screens – and the other also shows a battle star. It is possible that one of these stars is for week 4, while the other is week 3.

So, for week 3, you will need to head over to the small hill just beside Fatal Fields, where you will find yourself the battle star.

And here you can see the star in game, courtesy of Reddit user Agonyy95:

This below loading screen was also found in the game files, and shows another battle star location.

The location of the battle star is shown clearly here.

Remember though, this will only appear once you have completed all of the week 3 challenges for season 4.

If you need any help with completing the season 4 challenges, be sure to check out our cheat sheet, so you can fly through them before the week ends.

Fortnite leaker claims mods are coming soon

Fortnite could soon be getting support for mods if a claim from a reliable leaker is to be believed.

Since being released over three years ago, Fortnite’s new content and changes have all come from Epic Games. The developers had added everything from new weapons to a new map, as well as unique vehicles that you won’t see anywhere else.

Though, Fortnite players have gone above and beyond with their own creations in Creative mode – using all the tools at their disposal to create wacky and huge maps that provide hours of fun.

However, Epic Games could soon be handing players the power to use mods in Fortnite to make things a little more interesting.

Epic Games
Epic Games have had control over all of Fortnite’s content, but that could soon change,

Reliable leaker Lucas7Yoshi made the claim on Twitter on November 23, but couldn’t explain just how far the modding capabilities would stretch.

“Modding support will be coming to Fortnite…,” the Fortnite dataminer said, before following that up with a little bit more info amid a myriad of questions from his followers.

“Confidence for this is its 100% in the works,” he added. “To what extent you could mod the game or what you could do with it I’m not sure. But it’s definitely by definition ‘modding’.”

It could, very well, be the case that Epic makes it possible for players to use their own weapon skins in the battle royale mode, but can make bigger and bolder changes in Save the World where their mods wouldn’t influence other players as much.

The introduction of mods would certainly excite many players, but, there is a fine balance to uphold so that they don’t completely break the game.

Plus, there is also the question of whether or not they would be PC-only or work on console too. But, we’ll just have to wait and see what further info is released surrounding the possibility of mods.
