DoorDash made to climb under gate

A DoorDasher has called out a customer after being made to crawl under a gate for only a $2.50 tip, and TikTok weighed in on the situation.

In a video that’s reached over 250,000 views, a TikToker named Danny shared a bizarre experience, after they’d been made to crawl under a gate to deliver an order, despite the customer failing to leave a code.

“You know when you’re like, DoorDashing and they’re like, ‘Leave it at my door,’ but then there’s a gate… You really expect us to just be doing this … for a $2.50 tip?” They asked, before adding, “What do you mean, ‘Leave it at my door?’ There’s a gate, no code.”

“To be doing this for a $2.50 tip,” the video’s text overlay reads.

TikTok sympathizes with DoorDasher

After the video was posted on the platform, it quickly went viral, with people eager to weigh in on the situation.

Many could empathize with the Dasher’s plight, having experienced similar situations: “That happened to me and there was no way to open the gate so I left it outside the gate.”

“For real. I was a Pizza Hut delivery driver and my gosh, I have some stories like this.”

Some however, had experienced poor delivery service in the past, and suggested that no matter how precise the instructions were, drivers had still failed in delivering their order: “But to be fair I give my drivers very easy and precise instructions on how to buzz into my building and they still can’t get it right.”

Many were simply amused by how the TikToker entered below the gate, writing: “I’m sorry but you handled that way too easy though.”
