American adult cam site CamSoda are attempting to get involved with esports by offering a sponsorship to players.

The sponsorships are worth $5000, and also include a chance at earning an extra $100,000 bonus.

The first player to become a member of Team CamSoda will not only earn themselves the sponsorship, but also receive a custom jersey, and will appear on a CamSoda billboard in downtown Los Angeles announcing their new signing.

Daryn Parker, Vice President of CamSoda released a statement stating that the company saw their expansion into esports as a “unique opportunity to penetrate the fast-growing industry and get behind an established player with a devout following who we can help catapult to the next level.”

CamSoda aren’t the only adult entertainment companies to enter the esports scene. YouPorn currently owns Team YP, who compete mainly in the fighting game genre in titles such as Street Fighter and Super Smash Bros, and a history of sponsorship in games like CounterStrike: Global Offensive and DOTA 2.

Esports players who would like the CamSoda sponsor are required to submit an application on the CamSoda website. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older, and need to submit a video clip, their social media details, and an essay detailing why they should be the face of CamSoda’s esports team.

Applications are open right now, with the decision on the winner of the contest set to be made by a panel of judges before Friday, November 2.
