Baldur’s Gate 3 is one of the most expansive RPGs that you can play in the current market. This game has an overwhelming number of combat options and that includes spells as well for the sorcerers and wizards.
As such, among the numerous spells that are there in the game, a few are quite good. However, according to the players, there is one spell that can carry you through all of the early game. In fact, a few of them believe, it is quite good even in the late game.

The discussion surrounding the topic was started by a Reddit user named Anonymousman61. The user posted an image with the spell Cloud of Daggers and commented, “Damaging multiple enemies, blocking off a certain area, dumb enemy ai walking through it, always guaranteed to hit.” They also claimed, “This spell is everything.”
Other players joined in the conversation as a lot of them have similar ideologies. One such user mentioned, “Slappin’ that bad boy on the most direct bridge, forcing them to damage themselves or use their turn to dash?” Another user chimed in, “I really like cloud of daggers..”
One player also commented, “I used it during the battle when you save the clothes designer from the serial killer in Act 3 and left it at the center of the room and after the fight all of the survivors just decided to kill themselves by walking through it when I was talking to the guard.” Finally, a player claimed, “Forget early game, I was still spamming that shit in Act 3, it became a must have spell for me.”
One player also stated, “The spell is a double edged sword, or dagger. I was fighting the harpies and Mirkon ran into it.”
Therefore, it is safe to say that players are quite aware of how strong this spell is. However, some have also pointed out that this spell can end up hurting your teammates as well
