Apex Legends sponsors and factions concept would be a game-changer

One Apex Legends fan has come up with a clever, potentially game-changing idea that could easily be implemented at any point.

How popular is Apex Legends?

Over 50 million players have tried their hand at Respawn Entertainment’s take on the battle royale genre – including their own seasonal content release, Wild Frontier. However, fans have been left wanting more and more from the popular title.

Concept ideas for the game have flooded social media, as fans try to put their own spin on things. We’ve already seen ideas based on new characters, new finisher abilities and end-of-game rewards for Apex Champions.

Respawn EntertainmentA factions and sponsors concept could also add new skins for the Apex Legends.

Yet, another idea may shake up how the popular battle royale is played altogether.

Posted to the Apex Legends subreddit, the idea from user FrozenFroh, would allow players buy in-game sponsors user their Apex Tokens – allowing fans of the title to represent a certain faction or group. Rough ideas for the concept including being able to unlock a ton of new badges – adding on to the 169 that already available and unlockable in-game for various different reasons.

The factions and sponsors could also play a role in getting players into the game, be it returning for another session and being greeted with a new welcome message, or waiting for that all-important respawn from a teammate inside a dropship instead of watching a live feed of the game.

What new plans does Respawn have for Apex Legends?

It remains to be seen if Respawn adds any of these interesting concept ideas moving forward in a similar fashion to how Fortnite.

While the developer could be touted as stealing content from elsewhere, if fans have a real demand for change then the developer could be missing out by not following through on the demand.

It could just be a matter of wait and see for fans as Respawn has already committed the game for the long-term, laying out a full year one road map upon the title’s release. While what they have lined up is still under wraps, the Titanfall developer could well have plans of their own for similar sort of content that could be released in the future.
