An Apex Legends player has come up with an incredible concept for a new character and it looks like it would be a perfect addition to Respawn Entertainment’s battle royale title.

There are currently 12 characters taking part in the Apex Games – known as legends – with the most recent addition, Revenant, already making a good impression on players.

With that being said, over time Respawn will no doubt add countless more faces to their game, and this concept – named Bishop – could be exactly what they’re looking for.

Revenant is the newest Legend to take to World’s Edge.

Posted to Reddit by a user called DudeWithName, Bishop is also dubbed ‘The War Monger’ so, as you could imagine, it seems a pretty lethal opponent to come up against.

Bishop’s Passive and Tactical concept abilities are based on verticality. His Passive, called Hover Kit, allows him to hover and fall slower, adding some extra dimensions to the standard character movement. His Tactical, Thrust Mod, boosts him vertically into the air again expanding his movement mechanics.

His Ultimate ability, though, is where the real power is. The Salvo Barrage fires a swarm of guided missiles where the player is aiming, with missiles dealing more damage based on the distance they travel.

While just the idea itself sounds impressive, DudeWithName has thought out the exact damage dealt, cooldown times and more to make sure that Bishop is a well-balanced legend that could slide straight into the game’s existing meta without too much tweaking.

Not only that, but Bishop has an entire design and lore supporting him, proving that DudeWithName has made sure this Legend is literally game-ready.

The lore gives Bishop a valid reason for his joining the fight, with a love lost in battle years previously, and even ties him in with an existing figure, Crypto, who feeds him enough information to convince him to join the Apex Games.

Although we may never see Bishop in-game, the idea of such a well thought out legend joining the likes of Wraith, Bangalore and Wattson is an exciting one – especially to see how he is integrated.

Though, if the feedback DudeWithName received is anything to go by, Respawn might want to give something like Bishop some serious consideration when it comes to picking another character to add.

Revenant Heirloom concept would be perfect for Apex Legends

An Apex Legends player has developed an incredible concept for Revenant’s Heirloom. The impressive design is centered around his backstory and would be the perfect signature weapon for the Synthetic Nightmare.

Heirlooms in Apex Legends are extremely rare and difficult to obtain, making them a prized possession. At the time of writing, there are seven Heirlooms in-game with each of them belonging to a specific Legend.

Of course, this means that the appearance of these items has to be absolutely perfect. The Heirloom has to embody the Legend it represents and incorporate aspects of their character and lore into its design.

One character who is still waiting for his Heirloom to be added to the game is Revenant. Well, an Apex Legends player appears to have done Respawn’s work for them with an impressive concept for Revenant’s Heirloom.

Impressive Revenant Heirloom concept

The post, made by VerbatumTurtle, includes a detailed and custom made image that reveals the reasons behind each of the design choices.

The Heirloom itself is called ‘Death’s Head Kusarigama’ and is modeled in the shape of the traditional Japanese weapon. At the base of the Heirloom is Revenant’s signature skull, inspired by his ‘Death Totem’ ultimate ability.

Attached to the skull is a chain that represents his “past life… a life where he experienced pain, and death.” This is no doubt a reference to Revenant’s life as a normal human before he was transformed by Syndicate and Hammond Robotics.

Finally, on the end of the chain, the design incorporates a modified version of Revenents’s straight edge shaver. This is a direct reference to the Season 4 cinematic that sees Revenant using a shaver from his past life as a robot. The artifact serves as a reminder of what he once had and everything that has been taken from him.

It’s fair to say VerbatumTurtle has created an incredible Heirloom that any Revenant main would be thrilled to use. The design is not only perfectly themed for the Legend, but it also incorporates aspects of his lore and backstory.

We’re sure Respawn already has their own plans for a Revenant Heirloom, but they have been known to take inspiration from the community before.
