Animal Crossing: New Horizons April update reveals new visitors and more

Nintendo has revealed the next set of updates coming to Animal Crossing: New Horizons between April and June – and it appears as if the previous leaks were actually pretty spot on.

After years of waiting, Animal Crossing fans finally got their chance to play a new release in the form of New Horizons. Players have their lives transformed in New Horizons, as they head to a deserted island with the quest of building a thriving community – with a little help from Tom Nook and Nook Inc.

With the game being based on real-world time – provided you don’t time skip, of course – events and changes can be pretty gradual, incorporating live events like birthdays, special events, and much more. Though, after leaks suggested that Nintendo was working on a new update, they’ve officially revealed what is coming next.

Animal Crossing fans have already built unique islands in New Horizons.

The next update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons will begin starting April 23, as more island visitors will start popping up. These will be in the form of Leif and her Garden Shop as well as Jolly Redd’s Treasure Trawler – where you can buy special art and furniture.

Also starting on April 23, and running until May 4 will be the Nature Day event where you will be able to earn extra Nook Miles for special activities. You’ll also be able to use a May Day Ticket to head on a May Day Tour of a special island starting from May 1 to May 7.

Starting on May 18 until May 31, Blather’s Museum will celebrate International Museum Day by handing out rewards through a ‘Stamp Rally.’

Once May comes to an end, Wedding Season will begin on your island for the whole of June. You’ll be able to find special island visitors holding to celebrate their wedding or anniversary – so be sure to take a photo of them.

The previous leaks suggested that there would also be a Cafe and Seafood diving coming, though, they don’t appear to have made it into this update.

We’ll just have to wait and see if they come further down the line or Nintendo has something else in store. Though, players will be able to enjoy the free April update regardless.
