Super Bowl LVIII ticket prices reach new heights

Tickets for Super Bowl LVIII, between the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers, have gone on sale. And the prices are the highest in NFL history.

The Super Bowl has quickly become one of the most popular sporting events in the world. “The Big Game” serves as the final piece of the puzzle for any given NFL season.

Fans have witnessed double-digit blowouts to nail-biting, last-second victories in recent years. One constant from Super Bowl to Super Bowl is the escalating ticket prices.

Last year broke records for the most expensive tickets in NFL history, and next month’s Super Bowl expects to eclipse those lofty marks.

How much does a Super Bowl LVIII ticket cost?

SeatGeek revealed the prices of their tickets on the app, with the cheapest tickets going for $10,000. Fans on social media couldn’t believe the astronomical cost of a single-entry ticket to the event.

Compared to last year, tickets to the Big Game are up a whopping 70% over last year. Given that the game is also being played in Las Vegas, it’s unsurprising that this Super Bowl, in particular, is in such high demand.

Although the prices are sky-high, and fans have voiced their displeasure, the NFL is preparing for a sold-out crowd.

The 58th annual Super Bowl will pit the Kansas City Chiefs, fresh off a Super Bowl title last year, against the San Francisco 49ers, the NFC’s top seed.

This matchup isn’t the first time these two franchises have met in the final game, as the Chiefs defeated the 49ers 31-20 in Super Bowl LIV.

Will history repeat itself with Patrick Mahomes hoisting the Lombardi Trophy again? Or can Brock Purdy complete the revenge tour for the 49ers?
