A Persona insider has claimed that Persona 4 and 2 remakes “both exist at Atlus” and could be coming next after P3 Reload.

JRPG Persona 3’s remake has been nothing but an absolute success. The remake saw the complete recreation of the title, with updated graphics in the style of the most recent game. The entry saw acclaim both critically and socially, with new players jumping into the story while older ones refamiliarized themselves with the world.

With the success of Persona 3 Reload, many are wondering if other entries in the franchise will receive a similar treatment. Especially with some of the older titles being so old, fans are keen to see what Atlus may have in store.

Now, it seems good news may be heading fans’ way shortly, as an insider has claimed that Persona 4 and Persona 2 remasters “both exist at Atlus” and could be coming soon.

Leak claims P4 remake and P2 remaster exist at Atlus

According to leaker Im A Hero Too on Twitter, Persona 2 is currently being remastered for a newer player base. Titled Persona 2 Redemption, the remaster will include quality-of-life changes and a new translation. Redemption will be released on all platforms, including the Switch 2 and the next generation of Xbox.

Due to the remaster being a smaller undertaking, it’s also rumored that it will be released either before Persona 6 or the year afterward.

However, fans of Persona 4 may need to wait a bit longer before that game’s remake. According to the leak, Persona 4’s remake is a larger undertaking, and is “years away” from now, having not yet entered production as of writing.

Despite the long wait for these remakes, the fact they’re in the works is a fantastic sign, with older players being able to indulge in the franchise once more while attracting new ones to the series.
