McDonald's customer furious after spotting company's sauce policy

A frustrated McDonald’s customer has taken to TikTok after spotting the company enforcing their sauce policy, much to many buyer’s dismay.

When ducking by a McDonald‘s drive-thru for some Chicken McNugets, choosing your sauces is an integral part of the order. But how many sauces is too many?

Well, according to the fast food chain’s policy, the number of sauces per nugget has already been determined, with any extras costing the buyer more.

Now, one customer has been left furious after spotting the policy being enforced, taking to TikTok to question when and why McDonald’s started limiting buyers’ sauce options.

TikTok user ‘Brymarixx‘ posted a video to the platform showing a laminated sheet displayed at the McDonald’s drive-thru she was visiting.

The sheet informed buyers as to how many sauces came for free with each order, which follows as:

  • 4 nuggets = 1 sauce
  • 6 nuggets = 2 sauces
  • 10 nuggets = 3 sauces
  • 20 nuggets = 5 sauces
  • 40 nuggets = 8 sauces

“McDonald’s has chosen violence in 2024,” Brymarixx wrote. “McDonald’s we need answers!”

McDonald’s displayed its sauce policy for drive-thru customers, leaving Brymarixx shocked.

According to viewers, however, the policy has been around for some time and is even the norm in other countries such as Canada, with one commenter writing, “Canada ….6 piece we get one sauce lol. I pay $0.50 for additional sauce.”

That didn’t stop nugget lovers though from expressing their dismay at the company beginning to crack down on free sauces. One person said, “It’s honestly ridiculous and greedy considering I work at a semi-expensive restaurant and we don’t charge for extra sauce.”

“The comments are filled with people who don’t love sauce the same way we do. I totally get this girl that’s way too little,” another said, backing up Brymarixx in her disappointment.
