YouTuber Ryan ‘nigahiga’ Higa has released a hilarious “Official Fake Trailer” for Fortnite Battle Royale and it captures the spirit of the game to perfection.

Released in July 2017, Fortnite has experienced a meteoric rise in popularity thanks to its fast paced and addictive Battle Royale mode.

Available to play for free on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, the “Early Access” version of the game has quickly risen in prominence and surpassed just about all of the competition.

With so much interest surrounding the game, it is no surprise that YouTube, Twitch, and social media in general has been inundated with Fortnite related content, videos, memes, and more.

While much of that content can feel like it is simply recycled stream highlights, pushing copyright laws to the limits, there has been some that can only be described as genius; nigahiga’s “Fortnite The Movie” trailer, for instance.

The hilarious fake movie trailer encompasses everything that makes Fortnite so addictive and fun to play, from Pickaxe battles dealing 10 damage at a time to Boogie Bombs hitting you out of nowhere and from Rocket Rides to walking into traps.

Released on May 11th, the video already has over seven million views and that number is rising by the minute.

The editing and attention to detail only adds to the hilarity and we dread to think the amount of man hours that went into creating such a masterpiece.

Nigahiga released a similar video for PlayerUnkown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) in October of 2017 and has a number of other fake movie trailers for everything from Naruto to Minecraft.
