Devin Haney accuses “alcoholic” Ryan Garcia of being drunk at fiery press conference
Twitter/Fight HypeDevin Haney accused Ryan Garcia of turning up to their press conference in New York drunk as the two clashed ahead of their fight in April.
There is no love lost between the two Californian fighters and a heated face-off followed the press conference.
“You’re drunk! You’re an alcoholic!” Haney said, before Garcia responded: “I’ll drink a beer and beat the f*** out of you. How about I beat the f*** out of you?”

Haney repeated the accusation, which has not been corroborated, when speaking to reporters afterwards.
“Ryan was at the mother f****** press conference drunk as a skunk. Hopefully he gets it together before April 20th and I’m gonna have him punch drunk on that day,” said Haney.
“Ryan is an alcoholic, he drinks a lot. We don’t know which Ryan we’re gonna get. We don’t know, he might be off a bottle of Casamigos (tequila) when you’re talking to him.”
During the press conference itself, both men delivered confident opening gambits.
Garcia, whose only career loss came against Gervonta Davis last year, said: “This is a big opportunity for me. I want to go for legacy and belts, Devin is in the way and I’m on my vengeance arc. I’m coming straight for his neck I promise you that.”
Haney, meanwhile, said: “This is going to be a hell of an event. We’ve seen Ryan quit before and take a knee before. On April 20th it will be no different. DAZN have put the bounty up, and on April 20th I’m capturing the bounty and coming home with the victory.”
