League of Legends players are convinced the Elder Dragon has been bugged ever since Patch 14.2 was introduced to the MOBA.

Riot’s popular MOBA League of Legends is a pretty massive game. Therefore it’s only expected that bugs will crop up from time to time. These bugs are normally stomped out by the devs in the form of patches, which of course only end up spawning more bugs as things get changed around and added.

This is particularly so near the start of new seasons when the developers implement a bunch of new cool things for players to try out. For Season 14 this included new items, new jungle camps, and new map changes that breathed new life into the MOBA.

Now it seems a new issue has cropped up thanks to the Season 14 changes, with players convinced that the Elder Dragon has been bugged since Patch 14.2.

LoL players certain Elder Dragon is spawning earlier than usual

League of Legends players are convinced the Elder Dragon has been bugged since the most recent patch. After a team slays 4 dragons and claims the dragon soul, the Elder dragon will spawn after 6 minutes. However, players have noticed that the Elder dragon is now spawning after 5 minutes.

“Currently, the 1st Elder Dragon spawns 5 minutes after Soul is claimed instead of 6 minutes. (Almost like it’s bugged and shares the same spawn timer as the elemental drakes). However, the 2nd Elder Dragon spawns 6 minutes after the 1st Elder Dragon is killed,” the post reads.

Another player chimed in to confirm this.

“Sad, Elder Dragon now needs to work overtime to make up for the layoffs,” one player joked.

Dexerto tested this and can confirm that the Elder Dragon does spawn 5 minutes after the final Elemental Dragon, which is correct according to the in-game tooltip. However, it seems there was no mention of this change reported in the patch notes.
