An easter egg referencing award-winning TV show Breaking Bad has been spotted in the new Modern Warfare 3 Season 2 trailer.

Call of Duty has been littered with bugs throughout the years, occasionally paying tribute or referencing past titles in the franchise and even real-world events in various ways.

Players sometimes spend hours cracking codes and connecting dots to figure out these easter eggs, which occasionally can hint at future releases for the game.

On the other hand, some easter eggs that are found in plain sight just simply reference mainstream culture, and it looks like the devs have made a nod to Breaking Bad in Modern Warfare 3.

Ahead of Season 2’s release, players spotted the tiny easter egg and took to Reddit to share with the community. On February 5, the devs released a short video showing off all the new maps arriving in Season 2, where fans found what they believe to be a small reference to Breaking Bad.

At approximately 30 seconds in the video, a pizza can be seen on the roof of the garage on the new map ‘Stash House’ — which players think is a link to the drama.

Fans of the award-winning TV show may recall the “iconic” pizza scene in the third season, where Walter White, portrayed by Bryan Cranston, throws a pizza onto the roof in a fit of rage.

It wouldn’t be the first time the CoD devs have made a reference to Breaking Bad in some way either. On the Modern Warfare 2 map Santa Seña, the show’s famous RV marked with strikingly familiar bullet holes could be found. Not only that, the same could be encountered on MW3’s Season 1 map Meat.

Nevertheless, it looks like the Sledgehammer Games developers are noticeable fans of the Breaking Bad series.
