The lawsuit follows a controversy over Roblox’s moderation and safety policies after they banned renowned “predator hunter” Schlep.

Schlep’s work drew widespread attention once he was banned by the game after reportedly catching and getting six predators arrested.
Shortly after his ban was reported, Roblox responded, saying that while it appeared well-intentioned, their actions “created an unsafe environment” and violated the Terms of Use. The decision sparked a heated debate over whether Roblox is doing enough to protect its younger users.
One celebrity looking to shine a light on the debate and the mounting frustrations is Chris Hansen, best known for hosting NBC’s To Catch a Predator, who has built his career exposing those who prey on minors.
Now, he’s turning his attention to Roblox after reportedly reaching out to Schlep to “plan an upcoming documentary investigating Roblox’s handling of child safety issues,” according to a post on X.
It’s unclear whether the documentary will be greenlit or even filmed this early on, but the reported talks mark another high-profile step in the growing movement of players, creators, and media outlets confronting unlawful activity within Roblox.
With lawsuits, investigations, and now a potential documentary on the horizon, there’s plenty of pressure to ensure children are safe while gaming.
