Queer Eye star Bobby Berk announced his exit from the show in November – and Jeremiah Brent was announced to replace him joining the cast line-up as the Interior designer for Season 9.

After Bobby’s exit announcement from Netflix’s hit reality show, rumors flew about who would be replacing the now-former Fab Five member. Bobby, being the interior design guy, was an integral part of the show.

It would be impossible for the Fab Five to operate without a fifth member, so figuring out Bobby’s replacement was inevitable. Fans speculated if HGTV’s Jeremiah Brent would be joining Queer Eye in Season 10.

Brent is not new to the reality TV world and was part of HGTV‘s ‘The Nate & Jeremiah Home Project’ along with his husband, Nate Berkus. Brent’s long-term friendship with Tan France also made him an ideal candidate.

Will HGTV’s Jeremiah Brent join Queer Eye?

The answer is yes: Jeremiah Brent was announced to be on Queer Eye Season 9!

On 27 February, Netflix revealed Brent is headed to Las Vegas later this spring to join the filming of Queer Eye Season 9 along with the four Fab Five members –  Antoni Porowski, Jonathan Van Ness, Karamo Brown, and Tan France.

The rumors of Brent joining Queer Eye first started when he and his partner spent the 2023 New Year’s Eve at Tan France’s house. The news dropped while Queer Eye fans were busy discussing a possible falling out between Bobby and Tan.

On January 25, Bobby admitted to a strained relationship with his former co-star to Vanity Fair. He said, “There was a situation, and that’s between Tan and I, and it has nothing to do with the show. It was something personal that had been brewing —and nothing romantic, just to clarify that.”

Bobby clarified that his personal feud with Tan had nothing to do with why he chose to exit Queer Eye.

Furthermore, Deux U entertainment gossip podcast stated that Tan wanted Brent on the show and had been proposing the idea to the production staff for a while now.

People caught up with Brent to make a statement about the rumors that were spreading around him, though at that time he did not clarify if he was joining Queer Eye or not.

He said, “I’m open to anything. I love those boys. I’m friends with them, and I’ve got a lot of respect for what the show does and what it represents. It’s what matters most to me about design, so you never know. I’m open to anything that life presents.”

Currently, all eight seasons of the show are available to stream on Netflix, and the next season is scheduled to air in the later half of 2024.
