The World Showdown of Esports (WSOE) is holding their $100,000 Fortnite duos tournament on December 30, and will feature players from the best known esports teams in the world.

Held at OGN Studios in Manhattan Beach, CA., fans can attend in a live audience and watch 100 of the best Fortnite competitors battle it out for their share of the large prize pool.

On December 27, WSOE are also holding an open qualifier, which will allow players of all levels to try their hand at making to the main event. You can watch the official stream below.

In addition to qualifying players, 50 professional players will be representing teams such as OpTic Gaming, Cloud9, TSM, NRG Esports, Ghost Gaming, FlyQuest, GankStars, G2 Esports, and Team Vitality.

The matches will be casted by none other than Alex ‘Goldenboy’ Mendez, streamer Javier ‘MonsterDFace’ Collazo and Dexerto’s very own Troy ‘2LoudTX’ Tuttle. In the hosting chair will be popular esports journalist and host Richard Lewis along with Chris Puckett, Lucy Mae, Lauren Jbara, and Jon ‘Falloutt’ Kefaloukos.

Matches for the main event will begin at 10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm GMT on December 30, with a pre-show beginning half an hour beforehand.

WSOE have already declared that competitors are free to bring their own peripherals and controllers, while default setups will also be available.

Players are also permitted to use whichever screen resolution they desire – unlike Epic Games’ own Fortnite tournaments, which controversially stipulate that players must use default resolution.
