Taylor Swift’s potential appearance at the 2024 Super Bowl became a hot-button topic when “Taylor Swift Super Bowl” began trending on Twitter/X.

Taylor Swift has been the target of NFL fans ever since she began frequenting Kansas City Chiefs football games during the current season. Many fans have slammed the singer for taking attention away from the games.

“There’s so much on the outside coming in—entertainment value and different things taking away from what really happens on the field,” said NFL commentator Tony Dungy, whose comments led to a flurry of fans defending their favorite performer.

NFL fans once again fired off at the pop singer for what could be a “Taylor Swift Super Bowl.” That is, if the Chiefs win against the Ravens on January 28, they will move to the Super Bowl. Swift, who restarts her Eras Tour in February, could likely attend as she has five days off between shows in Tokyo and Melbourne, Australia.

An NFL Memes account kickstarted the trend after posting a clip of Ravens’ quarterback Lamar Jackson with the caption: “Only one man can save us from a Tayor Swift Super Bowl.”

A youth football coach fanned the flames when they also posted on Twitter/X. “I will be praying every morning this week for a Ravens victory to stop a Taylor Swift Super Bowl, which would be the worst event to befall this great country in at least a decade,” they wrote.

Another user shared their disdain, asking, “What’s the odds of the NFL letting the Ravens win and passing on a TS Super Bowl?”

Swift fans come to her defense

Swifties, of course, quickly swooped in to defend their favorite pop star. “One more win and the NFL gets a TS super bowl without paying for it,” declared one.

“Brads, Chads and dads crying about a Taylor Swift Super Bowl like it would be the worst thing that ever happened to them,” wrote one fan.

“You hate women that much? Please give it a rest and let her be happy,” said another.

“There’ nothing you can do about it! The Swifties have tasted blood and they now hunger for it,” screamed one fan in all caps. “You can resist the Swift but you’ll only die tired!”

With a potential Chiefs vs Lions Super Bowl LVIII, there’s little doubt that Swift won’t make an appearance. The camera loves her, after all.
