This sounds promising enough, especially for Assassin’s Creed fans – after all, Skull and Bones was originally conceived as Black Flag DLC. However, modern gaming trends and publisher Ubisoft’s track record may have fans wondering if there will be microtransactions in this new release.

Ubisoft has responded to the criticism, with CEO Yves Guillemot defending the pricing during an investors call by calling Skull and Bones a “quadruple-A game” and saying both that it’s “a fully-fledged game” and “will deliver in the long run.”
