Shroud offers simple suggestion to vastly improve fan-favorite mode in Battlefront 2
Twitch star Michael ‘shroud‘ Grzesiek explained an effective way to improve upon Heroes vs. Villains in Star Wars Battlefront 2 by allowing for AI soldiers and making bigger maps.
DICE has done a great job at reviving Star Wars Battlefront 2 from the dead following its launch loot box debacle and with the help of timely updates, it has now experienced a second wind.
Streamers such as shroud are able to show off the changes to thousands of viewers when he plays, something that could bode well for the longevity of the game.
Just because the game has improved greatly since launch, that doesn’t mean it couldn’t still use some improvements.
Heroes vs. Villains could be improved with this small change
As it stands right now, Battlefront 2’s Heroes vs. Villains mode features strictly heroes against villains without additional soldiers or AI units.
“Implement a mode where it’s only heroes and villains against each other in a map like this and the rest is AI,” he explained. “I don’t want heroes vs. villains only, that’s kind of lame, but it would be fun to go up against AI stormtroopers and shit.”
DICE added a new game mode to Battlefront 2 called Capital Supremacy that introduced AI soldiers fighting alongside you so it’s possible changes like that could be on the way.
Heroes vs. Villains has seen a different iteration with practically every Battlefront game, going back to the 2005 Battlefront 2. While it’s possible we could see a change like this, it seems more like something that would be saved for a future Battlefront 2 title.
Battlefront 2 is in a good spot right now
With the recent updates that added in prequel era heroes like Obi-Wan Kenobi, General Grievous, Count Dooku and Anakin Skywalker, it has brought a lot of new excitement to the game.
The Capital Supremacy playlist gave players a new game mode to experience and support hasn’t stopped there as the team also gave out a free Princess Leia skin for May 4.
