With Foamstars now out worldwide, players may be wondering how they can expand their roster. Mel T and The Baristador are the first unlockable characters and here’s how you can get them for yourself in no time.

PlayStation’s answer to Nintendo’s Splatoon is now upon us. From its very first impression, Foamstars drew comparisons to the hit third-person title, and now that the game is here, it’s clear to see why.

But as gamers around the globe jump in for themselves and see the similarities in action, many are wondering how they can expand their lineup of playable characters. Well, look no further.

Here’s the quick rundown on how to get The Baristador and Mel T, the first batch of unlockable characters in Foamstars.

How to unlock The Baristador in Foamstars

Unlocking The Baristador character in Foamstars is as easy as hitting Player Level 3. Simply playing for an hour or two should get you here without much hassle.

You can increase your Player Level by participating in online matches, or by grinding through some of the PVE content by yourself. The choice is yours, but no matter what you’re playing, it all contributes to your Player Level.

How to unlock Mel T in Foamstars

Currently, the only way to unlock Mel T in Foamstars is by purchasing the Starry Pop Premium Pass, aka, the Season 1 Battle Pass.

Foamstars is set to have a new Battle Pass with each month, so it’s clear new characters will be introduced this way for the foreseeable future. As to what happens when the current Battle Pass expires, there’s no quite telling.

Mel T could be unlocked for everyone after March 9, there may be a challenge attached, or she could simply appear in the shop as a one-off purchase. We’ll just have to wait and see, but rest assured we’ll keep you up to speed with all the latest right here.
