Update — December 10, 8:20 PM (GMT)

Shortly after reporting that Alliance would be entering European Valorant, the organization announced Counter-Strike veteran and Valorant caster, James ‘BanKs’ Banks, as their General Manager.

Speaking in their press release, Banks said: “Together with my experience and their fantastic support team we will be on the hunt for the right team or players to create something special.”

Original story follows below.

Following the culmination of Valorant’s First Strike Global Finals, worldwide interest in Riot’s flagship FPS is on the up and up.

With the esport’s viewership booming, plenty of organizations are looking for their slice of the pie. And the latest organization to flock to Future Earth is Alliance.

Alliance are staying home

Sources close to the deal have informed Dexerto that Alliance will continue to fly their European flag, as they seek to dominate in yet another esport.

This move will mark the organization’s continued expansion, as they already hold presence in Apex Legends, Fortnite and Smash. The organization will be seeking to either “acquire a championship-caliber roster or build a super team” — so who will they turn to?

Well, the narrative from the European leg of First Strike primarily revolved around the presence of unsigned teams, with Nolpenki, Orgless, Purple Cobras and eventual Grand Finalists, SUMN FC, all proving their worth.

SUMN FC took down event favorites FPX en route to First Strike Grand Final.

But with an impending rostermania on the cards, the potential list of candidates grows. Former FunPlus Phoenix Cypher, Johan ‘Meddo’ Renbjörk, is currently a free agent. Reportedly joining him in free agency are Davidp ‘davidp’ Prins and former Counter-Strike legend, Jacob ‘pyth” Mourujarvi from G2 Esports.

But with that said, there’s most definitely potential for an organization of Alliance’s caliber to build a ‘super-team’ of their own, as the depth of European Valorant continues to build.

We will continue to update this article as more unfolds.
