Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has teased the return of Henry Cavill’s Superman in his upcoming DCEU film, Black Adam.

Dwayne Johnson has promised DC Comics fans that “the hierarchy of power in the DC universe” would change with Black Adam. The former wrestler knows that DCEU fans are eager to see another superhero in the mix too.

Now, Johnson has begun teasing that Henry Cavill’s Superman may finally return on screen.

Dwayne Johnson offers Superman update: “Listen to the audience”

DC Comics and Superman fanatic The Geek of Steel engaged with The Rock on Twitter, hoping there might be a chance of seeing Cavill in Black Adam. Surprisingly, Johnson responded and gave a hopeful update on whether Superman will appear.

Adding context from his wrestling days, Johnson said: “From back in the day when I was wrestling in flea markets for $40 bucks a match, all the way to now, I’ve learned to always listen to the audience.”

The Jumanji star added: “always listen to the audience because they will always lead you to where you need to go.”

Cavill’s appearance as Superman has been rumored for some time, going all the way back to 2016 before Black Adam began production.

Superman was featured in 2019’s Shazam, though the cameo only showed the hero from the neck down.

Cavill deserves another chance to wear the cape, so we’ll be crossing our fingers when Black Adam releases on October 21, 2022.
