We’re still waiting for word on who Smash Ultimate’s mysterious fifth fighter will be in the Fighter Pass, but this fan clearly thinks Jonesy from Fortnite would be a good fit.

There have been several hints and rumors about who the next Smash Ultimate fighter will be, but nothing has yet been set in stone.

With so many different possibilities, fans don’t really know what to expect at this point, but that hasn’t stopped them from speculating.

Some fans have even gone the extra mile and created their own reveal trailers for their favorite characters to share the excitement with other players.

Reddit user “KinaKingy created their own reveal trailer for Fortnite’s famous default skin, Jonesy; but rather than being animated with CGI, the cinematic was hand-drawn.

It actually works pretty well, and we can easily picture Jonesy as the game’s elusive fifth fighter. To top things off, Jonesy’s Final Smash is dropping a meteor, which will bring back memories of Fortnite Season 3, when a meteor reshaped the map.

What’s even crazier about all of this is that Jonesy might not even be that much of a stretch as Smash’s fifth potential DLC fighter.

Both Fortnite and Smash Ultimate appeal to players of all ages, so adding in a player from the hit battle royale title wouldn’t be the worst idea. That’s not even mentioning the fact that Fortnite is also available on the Nintendo Switch.

There are plenty of skins to choose from if they wanted to add a Fortnite character to Smash, but Jonesy is definitely one of the most recognizable characters.

With a Pokemon Direct already being held in January, fans are starting to become a bit impatient as the fifth announcement draws nearer.

Capcom
Dante could be the next fighter according to the latest hints.

There’s still a chance there will be a Nintendo Direct in January, and a Capcom developer has potentially hinted at that happening on either January 16 or 30.

This isn’t definitive information by any times, so don’t read too much into it. Whether it’s Jonesy or somebody else, we’re going to find out who this final DLC character will be sometime in the near future.
