Not only were the fans there in numbers, but they also brought their voices and that was certainly heard during the grand final between Team Dignitas and NRG Esports when a miracle moment happened.

Team Dignitas looked set to take the final game of the second best of seven series with the score at 3-2 as the clock timer hit zero.

As the ball is required to touch the floor to finish the game, it allowed NRG Esports one last chance and unbelievably they managed to keep the ball in play for long enough to score a simply insane goal.

The entire arena went into a total frenzy with the commentators also losing their minds, with one shouting “This is Rocket League!”.

The Team Dignitas players looked stunned, and the NRG players also couldn’t believe what happened as the game went into overtime.

Despite NRG’s heroics, the Team Dignitas team remained composed and went on to win the game in overtime to walk away with the $100,000 first place prize.
