Cheat codes seem almost antique in the modern age of gaming, but some developers still like to give us the option of using or unlocking them. Luckily for Red Dead Redemption 2 fans, Rockstar are among those developers.
Red Dead 2’s eagerly anticipated release on October 26 has arrived, and players around the world are already sinking their teeth into its beautiful open world and gripping storyline.
However, if the life of an outlaw in the wild west somehow becomes boring at times, or if you want an easier route to completion, the game also offers an array of cheat codes that unlock various resources, abilities, or quirky additions.
Finding the cheat menu is simple - press the pause button and click on the ‘Settings’ option. From here, you’ll need to press the Triangle or Y button (depending on your console of choice) and the cheat menu should open immediately.
You’ll see a list of locked cheats. Some of these can be unlocked by entering the correct code, while others will take some effort on your part.
You’ll find newspapers in various locations around the map and some of these will include clues about how to unlock more of the codes.
Before using a code for the first time, we would advise making a separate save of your game. Once you’ve activated one code, all Trophies or Achievements will be removed from that save file.
Below you can find all of the cheat codes that we are aware of so far, as well as how to unlock them. Be sure to check back for more as they are discovered!
