Hi-Rez Studios announced a set of changes in a Hotfix on June 25th for Realm Royale, along with bringing the servers back online

After being released in early June of 2018 for ‘Early Access’ on Steam, Realm Royale has taken off throughout the gaming community for its unique spin on the ‘Battle Royale’ genre.

The game is one of the latest in the world of the ever-growing market of Battle Royale installations and is a spinoff ‘Paladins,’ a Hi-Rez Studio title which was originally released in 2016.

Although Realm Royale was gaining traction among members of the gaming community, a major update on June 20th caused fans to be split on the changes and adjustments made, including popular streamer Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins, who was critical of such a major overhaul.

On June 25th, the Realm Royale servers went down in order for Hi-Rez to implement a number of changes in a Hotfix, however, are now back online at the time of writing.

A full list of the patch notes for the Hotfix can be viewed below.

Servers are back online! Hotfix changes:

– Forge Class Legendary Weapons for 200 shards and 2 chicken trophies
– Forge Non-Class Legendary Weapons for 120 shards and 1 chicken trophy

– Zeppelin Legendary Chests will have a chance to drop Legendary Class Weapons

Daniel ‘KEEMSTAR’ Keem provided an update on the next $100k Realm Royale tournament, and teased future updates from Hi-Rez Studios.

On Monday, August 6, KEEMSTAR announced that the weekly $100k Realm Royale tournament will be ‘taking a week off,’ and will no longer take place on Thursday, August 9.

The decision stems from Hi-Rez Studio, the developer of Realm Royale, experimenting with ‘big’ in-game changes and updates in the future, according to the ‘Drama Alert’ Host.

KEEMSTAR did not mention any specific date regarding when the tournament series will be rescheduled, however, stated that it will ‘100% return.’

As of writing, the proposed changes that will potentially be coming to Realm Royale are unknown.

After the success of the ‘Friday Fortnite’ tournament series which saw major personalities, content creators, and other notable individuals from across the gaming community compete each week for a cash prize, KEEMSTAR teamed up with Hi-Rez Studios to create a similar project with Realm Royale.
