As is the case with most Pokemon game releases, leaks have materialized as its release has drawn closer. This includes the entirety of the Galar region Pokedex among others.

Eternatus, who apparently plays an integral role in the Pokemon Sword and Shield lore, was initially leaked back in May and fans have been craving more information about it ever since.

Now, we finally have leaked images. So, let’s take a look at what we can expect to see from these three legendaries, as well as some potential new details.

Eternatus first-look in Pokemon Sword and Shield

Eternatus has appeared in leaked images revealing the Sword and Shield Pokedex. It comes in at number 400 with Zacian and Zamazenta listed as 398 and 399 respectively.

Its type has also been revealed — a dual poison and dragon-type. This is noteworthy as there has yet to be a poison-type legendary Pokemon in any generation.

subsequent leak shared more details about the supposedly evil legendary Pokemon: “They secretly work with Oleana to reawaken Eternatus.”

However, after that happens, their leader has a change of heart, and he decides to help you, telling you that the legendary Pokemon of your version [Zacian or Zamazenta] is the only Pokemon capable of handling Eternatus.”

More than one form for Zacian, Zamazenta and Eternatus

Interestingly there are two forms for each of Zacian, Zamazenta and Eternatus. The latter’s supposedly alternative form can be seen above but further details are currently unknown. It could work similarly to Giratina.

Elsewhere, when Zacian and Zamazenta were both revealed their prominent features were a sword and shield. However, their Pokedex entries show them without.

This could mean they also both have alternative forms. Further details about their typings can be seen with Zacian listed as a fairy-type and Zamazenta a fighting-type. Both are listed as “Warrior Pokemon” and gain the steel typing in their alternate form.

So, there you have it, it looks like the original Eternatus leak was right all along. Could this be the mysterious Pokemon that is showcased on the hill?
