The Field Notes Deino Special Research story has arrived in Pokemon Go, so we’ve got details of all the tasks and rewards you can unlock along the way.

Pokemon Go’s June Community Day star is none other than Deino, the beloved Dark/Dragon-type that evolves into the pseudo-Legendary Hydreigon! Fans have been waiting for this one, so it’s an exciting time.

As always, there’s an event-exclusive Special Research story available to accompany this Community Day. It’s called Field Notes Deino, and will require you to complete tasks revolving around the Irate Pokemon.

Below, you’ll find everything you need to know about the Field Notes Deino Special Research story in Pokemon Go, including the tasks and rewards on offer.

Pokemon Go Field Notes Deino Special Research tasks & rewards

Here are all of the tasks you need to complete in the Field Notes Deino Special Research story, as well as the rewards you can earn:

Step 1 of 4

• Earn 3 hearts with your buddy – 15 Poke Balls
• Catch 3 Deino – 3 Potions
• Make 3 Nice Throws in a row – 10 Nanab Berries

Rewards: 2000 Stardust, Deino encounter & 1 Lucky Egg

Step 2 of 4

• Transfer 3 Pokemon – 10 Great Balls
• Send 3 Gifts and add a sticker to each – 10 Pinap Berries
• Use 3 Pinap Berries to catch Pokemon – 20 Deino Candy

Rewards: 1500 XP, Deino encounter & 1 Lure Module

Step 3 of 4

• Make 3 Nice Curveball Throws in a row – 20 Deino Candy
• Power up Dragon-type Pokemon 3 times – 1 Incense
• Evolve 3 Deino – 15 Great Balls

Rewards: 2500 XP, Deino encounter & 15 Ultra Balls

Step 4 of 4

• Claim Reward! – 3 Silver Pinap Berries
• Claim Reward! – 3 Golden Razz Berries
• Claim Reward! – 3000 XP

Rewards: 3000 Stardust, Hydreigon encounter & 3 Max Revives

How to get the Field Notes Deino Special Research story

If you want to take part in the Field Notes Deino Special Research story, you’ll need to purchase a ticket from the in-game shop for $1 (£0.79) or the equivalent price in your local currency.

The ticket needs to be purchased before the Deino Community Day event is over, when it will leave the shop, but it’s best to purchase it in advance so you’ll have the whole three-hour event to complete it.

You can still complete the Field Notes Deino Special Research story once the event is over, but it will be much easier to finish during the Community Day as most tasks will include catching or evolving Deino.
