How to get Legenday Reshiram and Zekrom in Pokemon Sun and Moon for free

Two new Legendary Pokemon, Reshiram and Zekrom, are set to be released for Pokemon Sun and Moon, as well as Ultra Sun and Moon, players on October 5. Even better, they will be available for free!

Reshiram is a Fire-type Dragon and Zekrom is an Electric-type Dragon Pokemon. According to the lore, both are part of the ‘Tao trio’ alongside Kyurem.

Getting your hands on the two is rather simple – Pokemon Ultra Sun and Pokemon Sun players will get a code to add Zekrom to their game, while Pokemon Moon and Ultra Moon players will get the same for Reshiram.

How to get your Reshiram or Zekrom gift code:

Residents in Europe and Australia can download their Legendary directly through the Nintendo Network from October 5 through 21, no need for a code.

In the US, you will need to go to your nearest Target store and collect a code between October 19 and 28.

In Canada, a code will be available in the monthly ‘Trainer Club Newsletter’. The dates are expected to be the same as

How to get Reshiram or Zekrom for Pokemon Sun and Moon in the US/Canada:

1. Start Pokemon Sun and Moon or Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon.
2. Select ‘Mystery Gift’ in the main menu.
3. Select ‘Receive Gift’.
4. Select ‘Get with Code/Password’, then click ‘Yes’ twitch to connect to the internet
5. Enter your code
6. Receive your new Legendary Pokemon.
7. Return to your game and speak to the delivery person in a Pokemon Center to get your Pokemon
8. Save your game

How to get Reshiram or Zekrom for Pokemon Sun and Moon in Europe/Australia

1. Start Pokemon Sun and Moon or Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon.
2. Select ‘Mystery Gift’ in the main menu.
3. Select ‘Receive Gift’.
4. Select ‘Get via Internet’ then click ‘Yes’ to connect to the internet
5. Receive your new Legendary Pokemon.
6. Return to your game and speak to the delivery person in a Pokemon Center to get your Pokemon
