xQc had some choice words about Austin ‘Muma’ Wilmot in response to former Outlaws player Lucas ‘Mendokusaii’ Håkansson hyping up Muma in anticipation of his upcoming performance at the Overwatch World Cup.

Both xQc and Muma will be headed to BlizzCon for the World Cup playoffs, taking place on November 2-3.

The rivalry between xQc and Muma goes way back to even before the pair joined the Overwatch League. In the league itself not only were they battling as two of the best western main tank players, but also doing so from rival Texas teams Dallas Fuel and Houston Outlaws.

During Season One of the Overwatch League, xQc’s first suspension also came as a result of comments directed at Muma. Muma himself has since said that the two have no ongoing personal issues, but with xQc stepping back into competition for the Overwatch League it seems the competitive rivalry between them remains strong.

Though xQc no longer competes full-time, the two recently clashed again at the Los Angeles Qualifier for the Overwatch World Cup, xQc representing Canada while Muma competed for Team USA.

Though both teams qualified for the playoffs, it was the USA that came out on top with a win in the head-to-head.

The two could yet meet again in the playoffs, but in order for that to happen both teams would need to reach the final. Canada will kick off their campaign against France, while USA will face the United Kingdom in their quarter-final match.
