As well as introducing new content, the Anniversary event is celebrating two years since the release of Overwatch by revisiting much of the content that has been added to the game over that period.

The content added by in-game events is usually only available within the event itself. New skins remain unlocked for those that received them, but if you miss out during the event you have to wait until the next iteration. Likewise with unique gameplay elements such as event-themed Brawls, which can only be played during the event.

During the Anniversary event, all previous event skins will once again be available, both in Anniversary loot boxes and for purchase with in-game credits. Meanwhile, previous event Brawls will be available in the arcade, cycling through each on a daily basis.

Blizzard has released a schedule for the Brawls in the first week of the event:

In addition to the old content, Overwatch Anniversary also introduced a brand-new Deathmatch map, Petra, and a ranked competitive queue for Deathmatch, along with its own new set of skins.
