Players have been becoming somewhat impatient for new balancing updates, with one post on the Blizzard forums entitled “Devs, do something! the game is dying”.

In response to a post concerned about when the next major update for the PTR (Public Test Region), Kaplan confirmed that work was being done behind the scenes.

On January 4, Kaplan replied by stating that a balancing patch is being prepared, and that they hope to have it on the PTR “next week”.

Additionally, he says that a “cool little surprise” will also be dropping next week, although gives no details as to what exactly it could be.

Following Kaplan’s response, users quickly gave their feedback as to what they want to see included in the balance patch, such as a buff to Junkrat.

Overwatch players have also been vocal about the lack of available statistics in-game too, although it doesn’t sound like this would be part of a balance patch.

As for what the “cool little surprise” could be, it’s anyone’s guess at the this stage.
