On the attacking side, mL7 demonstrated a line-up that allows for a huge grenade to land on a common high-ground defence point.

The high-ground set-up with Orisa is a very popular strategy on Temple of Anubis. With a large stationary barrier to hide behind, height advantage and a choke point that the offensive side must push through to attack the point, it’s a powerful position to hold and one that majority of the offensive team will often stand at.

Breaking the defence can be very difficult, but on the flip side managing to do so quickly gives them limited options for a retreat to safety and therefore a strong chance of a quick first if the offensive team can wipe them out.

As a result, landing an early, unexpected Biotic Grenade can be an incredibly powerful opening for the attacking team, dealing damage, preventing healing, and generally disrupting the enemy team.

So long as the defensive team doesn’t have a sniper above the arches the throw should be fairly safe for Ana, and in addition the travel time of the grenade means that by the time the actual engagement comes, the ability is already a significant way towards the end of its cooldown.

Unfortunately, in this instance the enemy team were ultimately able to hold against the initial push, despite at least four members being hit by the grenade, but that doesn’t take away from the utility of mL7’s opening move.
