Overwatch players discover Winston’s secret stash of bananas on Horizon

Winston grew up on Horizon, so it makes sense that he would have a secret hiding spot to stockpile his favorite snack.
Now Reddit user imprala has rediscovered where the secret stash is located and for players who didn’t know before, it’s in a much more obvious place than you might expect.

“For the last time, no more bananas”
The secret banana stash is located on the second level of the area just before you get to the first point from the attacking spawn.
Winston’s stash is located on the walkway on the other side of the room from the upper airlock, so when you’re looking at the point while coming from the attacking spawn, it’s to your left.
Behind an inconspicuous metal plate that players can open with a simple melee, there’s a secret stash of bananas and other goodies Winston has hidden away.
The metal panel has a small yellow square on it as it’s only identifying mark, but it’s not that tough to find after watching imprala’s video.

Are they really Winston’s bananas?
Players have discovered the hideaway before, and there’s a theory that the stash is actually Hammonds, which would make sense since the hero has a spray of him eating a banana.
That and Horizon came out before Hammond was revealed, so having a ‘secret’ stash of bananas would be some classic Blizzard misdirection.
Speaking of new hero reveals, Overwatch Director Jeff Kaplan confirmed in an interview that Hero 31 would be coming out sometime during Summer 2019, but didn’t get any more specific than that.
