Overwatch players discover potentially game-changing bug on Busan

Overwatch players have discovered a major bug on Busan’s “Sanctuary” map.

There are certain locations on the Sanctuary map in which surfaces are not solid as they should be, but instead will allow projectiles to pass straight through them.

The bug was initially identified by u/cvhagt, who noticed something wasn’t right after suffering a suspicious death as Ana.

Having been hit by the enemy Ashe’s dynamite, u/cvhagt threw a biotic grenade at their feet as they attempted to flee. The grenade seemed to have no effect, however, leaving the Ana to burn to death.

Some commenters suggested that perhaps an enemy D.Va had been in range for a particularly well-timed Defense Matrix, thus swallowing the biotic grenade.

Some investigation by u/_etis, however, identified a consistent issue with the corners of the pillars, which seem to have an invisible gap where the wall meets the floor.

The gap can’t swallow all abilities, as some – an extreme example being D.Va’s mech during self-destruct – won’t fit. Key abilities that can disappear, however, include Zarya’s Graviton Surge, Tracer’s Pulse Bomb, and Moira’s Biotic Orb.

Fortunately, the bug is limited to very specific locations, but it’s still worth keeping in mind if you’re playing on Busan as it could result in a vital ability being nullified.
