Overwatch players discovered a huge change made to D.Va's Defense Matrix ability that gave it a nerf and also changed the way it looks to other players.
D.Va is one of the original heroes in Overwatch, dating all the way back to the game's 2016 release, and she just received a huge change on the PTR that will please long-time fans.
One of the most requested changes for D.Va over the years has been a visual upgrade to her Defense Matrix ability and those wishes have finally come true.
D.Va's Defense Matrix has long had a pretty subtle look to it where you couldn't really ever tell definitively whether it was activated or not, leading to some unfair moments.
With this change, Blizzard finally made a switch by giving the Defense Matrix a much more noticeable design.

It seems like more people are excited about this change more than anything in the PTR, but it's for good reason. It's worth mentioning that along with the visual update, D.Va's Defense Matrix range was nerfed with this latest build on the PTR.
These changes aren't yet available in the live version so don't get excited to see them in action just yet, but you can expect to see them very soon.
In addition to Replays, the PTR also includes changes for 6 heroes (ex: DVa's DM range nerfed) and in 2cp, time awarded to attackers who capture Point A only get 3 min instead of 4, and respawn time for defenders is temporarily shortened at that moment.https://t.co/XN6Aynga6B pic.twitter.com/tF1yKzORGg— Overbuff (@Overbuff) May 24, 2019
If you're an Overwatch fan then you probably already know this, but in case you don't the Overwatch Anniversary Event is currently live on all platforms.
For even more D.Va news, the skin that Jeff Kaplan said would break the internet is included with all the Anniversary skins, in fact, there are actually two D.Va skins.
Make sure you give the event a look before June 10, the day it ends.
