Overwatch League’s Soe sings a song about GOATS

OWL analyst Soe Gschwind-Penski sang a song about what it is like to queue in the Overwatch Competitive playlist recently, notably dealing with the current meta of GOATS.

Starting around the introduction of Brigitte, GOATS is a team composition that involves all tanks and healers. The comp leaves out highlight reel DPS characters, leaving some to complain about how stale the current state of Overwatch is.

Although Blizzard has steadily tried to switch things up, most notably with nerfs to Brigitte and a major buff to tank-killer Reaper, GOATS is still here.

Soe let out her meta frustrations with a catchy song, accompanied by her ukulele.

“Lately, I’m running into the same comp, on every map that I’m playing,” sings Soe, to the tune of Riptide by Vance Joy. “Whatever happened to 2-2-2?” Soe wonders, in reference to GOATS being made up of 3 tanks and 3 healers.

You can find Soe next at the Overwatch League when Season 2 kicks off in the middle of February. It will be the first time the elite OWL players have played since the introduction of the GOATS meta, so the game may get some new counters or an entirely new meta once the pros have a competitive look.

The preseason schedule has apparently leaked ahead of time, with expansion team Paris taking on NYXL to open the OWL preseason schedule on February 9.
