Overwatch Developer Joshua Noh dismissed any ideas of balancing or reworks for Brigitte in the near future during a stream with Lane ‘Surefour’ Roberts of the L.A. Gladiators.

After a viewer asks about Brigitte in chat, Noh explained he thought “Right now we think she’s in a pretty good place after the last couple balance patches.”

He added that Brigitte does change the way the game is played, “She is currently defining the meta quite a bit.”

“A lot of people don’t like Brig, but what a lot of people don’t realize is that she makes it so dive isn’t always the best,” Surefour added.

“It used to be everyone was like ‘I’m so sick of dive!’ But now, you have something that can get rid of dive,” the Overwatch League pro pointed out.

“If you take a step back and look at Overwatch as a whole, right now it’s more balanced than it’s ever been,” Noh told viewers. “There’s a lot of potential comps being run, although most of them do involve Brig in some way.”

So it looks like Brigitte isn’t going away anytime soon, she’s just something players will have to get used to dealing with.
