A fresh Overwatch 2 leak appears to have revealed a set of abilities and talents for Ana, potentially making her the most powerful Support hero in the game.

Overwatch 2 is still far from release, but insider information appears to be slipping through the cracks at a steady rate.

Abilities for both Moira and Brigitte supposedly leaked on March 16, and now another Support hero has been exposed as Ana’s Overwatch 2 upgrades may have just been revealed.

Blizzard
Ana’s abilities appear to be the latest that have leaked early.

The sequel to Blizzard’s popular hero shooter will be placing a large emphasis on the Player vs AI experience. From a fully fleshed out story mode, to replayable cooperative missions, there’s a great deal for fans of campaigns in other games to look forward to.

Throughout the new content, each hero will come with their own unique progression system, allowing players to personalize their kit and change abilities to suit their playstyle.

Revealing a leaked image on March 30 from a supposed ‘internal test,’ Overwatch content creator ‘Stylosa’ appears to have shed light on Ana’s abilities and talents in Overwatch 2.

With an unknown location in the background, the image highlights six unique upgrades, ranging from early unlocks to level 20 overhauls.

The first two options tackle Ana’s Sleep Dart, providing more flexibility than ever before. According to the leak, players will be able to choose between a ‘Nano Dart’ and ‘Perma Sleep’ upgrade.

Nano Dart will keep an enemy grounded even while being damaged, whereas the Perma Sleep option sticks enemies to the floor indefinitely, so long as they’re not harmed.

This alone would provide two unique play styles. Squads can play aggressive with the Nano Dart and damage enemies without taking any punishment in return.

Other teams may prefer a more strategic approach with the Perma Sleep ability though. You can keep a certain enemy asleep until the fight is over, before refocusing on them with a full squad.

Blizzard
Ana’s upgraded Sleep Dart could keep enemies grounded forever.

Two level ten unlocks focus on both Ana’s Nano Boost Ultimate and her Biotic Grenade ability. The Micro Boost option applies temporary Nano Boost buffs to both Ana and her chosen target all at once.

The Live Grenade unlock will boost the power of her Biotic Grenade, both healing teammates over time and damaging enemies simultaneously.

Anaesthetic and Nano Bolster are the final abilities revealed in the image and come boasting two extremely significant buffs. Utilizing the former will allows players to sleep any target after landing five consecutive shots with her primary fire.

Players who opt for the latter will have the ability to buff teammates into unstoppable giants. Nano Bolster will negate stuns, knockback effects, and all incoming damage for the duration of the Ultimate.

Blizzard
Nano Boosted allies could soon be invincible in Overwatch 2.

While there’s no indication that this leak is indeed true to form for what players can expect when Overwatch 2 is released, these abilities would certainly turn heads.

Jeff Kaplan recently went on record and outlined more information about the upcoming sequel, including a hint at how a battle pass system may be implemented.

Overwatch player discovers secret counter to Mei’s Cryo-Freeze

Mei’s Cryo-Freeze has to be one of the most annoying abilities in Overwatch, granting the hero complete invincibility for its duration. Now, a player has discovered a brilliant trick to counter the ice-themed hero.

In Overwatch, there are few abilities as unique as Cryo-Freeze. It places Mei inside of an ice cube that heals her and cleanses any status effects such as Ana’s biotic grenade.

However, the most annoying thing about the ability is how it makes Mei completely invulnerable. For the few seconds she has it activated, she can survive anything from point-blank D.Va bombs to Sigma’s Gravitic Flux.

Some players have found ways to “time” abilities so they connect with Mei as she exits her ice cube cocoon, such as Tracer’s Pulse Bomb or a Reinhardt charge. However, this tactic is reliant on the Mei using Cryo-Freeze’s whole duration. If she cancels it early, then there’s a chance that she’ll end up surviving or dodging the oncoming attack.

Mei’s ice block is extremely powerful.

Luckily, a new technique has been discovered which should make countering Mei a breeze. As shown by Reddit user bleubey, Junkrat can actually place his trap directly on top of Mei’s ice cube.

This trick should guarantee that the Chinese environmentalist hero gets trapped and is extremely vulnerable to any attacks. With any luck, you can even catch the Mei player completely off-guard and force out her ultimate.

That exact thing happened in bleubey’s clip. After coming out of the cube, the Mei found herself trapped and ended up wasting her Blizzard in the process, only to be taken out of the picture by a damage-boosted Junkrat grenade.

I find it amusing that you can put a junk trap on top of Mei’s head while she’s an ice cube from Overwatch

Users on the site were shocked to see that such a trick even existed. “I’m almost gold border and I never knew this,” wrote marioaprooves.

“I’m GM and I never knew this sh*t. Holy f**k,” stated another, clearly shocked at what they had witnessed.

Mei has a lot of tricks up her sleeve.

Bleubey responded in turn that they only found out by complete accident, proving that such a tactic really went under the radar for a long time.

The next time there is a Mei giving your team trouble, try swapping to Junkrat and taking her out with this neat trap hat maneuver.
