Blizzard doesn’t publicize the exact number of players across all editions of the game, so we have to turn to a third party to make an educated guess,
According to Active Player, Overwatch 2 currently averages 6,295,175 players a day and has attracted a total of 23,315,464 active users in the last 30 days.
However, it’s worth noting that Active Player uses educated guesses to discover the player count, so while it offers a decent indicator, these numbers are by no means perfect.
As for peak numbers, Blizzard revealed on October 14, 2022, that 25 million players had played Overwatch 2 in the first 10 days of the servers going live. These amazing numbers give us an idea of just how well the hero shooter’s sequel performed at launch.
The launch was so successful that Overwatch 2 has already achieved a daily player count peak that is nearly three times higher than the original. However, its transition to a free-to-play model will also play a part.
